Tuesday’s Tips:: Save Time Cooking Ground Meat!

Everyone loves a good deal, well how about some good tips! Ones that will help you save some time, save some money, or just make your life easier! I teamed up with some good friends of mine to start a NEW blog series….Tip Tuesday.

Along with Jessica’s Coupons, Kroger Krazy, Rose Knows Coupons, every Tuesday we will be offering our readers one time saving or money saving tip! Hopefully something that will make life a bit easier that everyone can use!

This week is brought to you by Rose Knows Coupons, and how she saves time preparing ground beef, turkey, or chicken in the slow cooker!

I love my slow cooker and will love being able to prepare all the ground beef I will need for the week at one time with out having to stand over the stove the whole time!

Preparing Ground Meat in a Slow Cooker

You can store the cooked ground beef, once cooled, in ziploc baggies in the fridge. You can prepare up to 2 lbs. at a time this way

Basically just plop the meat into the slow cooker, cover it and come back 2 hours later! You don’t even need to stir it when it’s cooking because it will not be crumbly chunks like it would be if prepared in a frying pan.  Plus it will be juicer because you don’t have the hot frying pan searing the meat!

After the meat is done (this will vary depending on your slow cooker or Crock Pot and how much meat you are preparing)

Just mix it up and it’s good to go! You may have to strain your meat depending on which kind you prepare.

Do you have a tip you want to share with me? If so, you can contact me via email here! Your tip could be chosen and featured on Tuesday’s Tips!

{Thanks Rose!}
