Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate Recipe

YuM! What a perfect fall treat for kids and adults alike! Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate! Seriously, AH-MAZ-ING! And to make this drink more “adult-friendly” add a shot of espresso or rum 😉

The  original recipe, I found, calls for a few different spices, I took the lazy way out and just used pumpkin pie spice –which I had on hand, and did not have all the other spices. SO you can use all the different spices or follow my recipe and just use one

Closet Cooking’s Original Ingredients
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, roughly chopped
  • pinch salt

Ingredients
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice {or use all the spices listed in original recipe}
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, roughly chopped
  • pinch sea salt
Instructions
  1. Heat the milk, pumpkin puree, and spices in a sauce pan until it just starts to simmer and remove from heat
  2. Add the white chocolate and stir until it has melted.
  3. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon.
