2 Ingredient Nutella Brownies Recipe

My son seen a video on Instagram that was easy 2 ingredient Nutella brownies and he was so excited to make them! He loves to help cook and bake right now and really doesn’t want my help usually, so these seemed pretty easy for him to whip up all on his own :)  The hardest part was for him to have to whip the eggs long enough!

So the two ingredients you need are just 4 eggs and 1 cup of nutella. The instructions are as follows:

  1. Pre Heat oven to 350º
  2. Crack 4 eggs into mixing bowl
  3. Beat the eggs with a mixer for 6-8 minutes until they become a pale yellow color {error on the side of longer then less.}
  4. Add nutella to egg mixture and make sure its all mixed together
  5. spread into greased brownie pan
  6. bake for 20-25 minutes until toothpick comes out clean

Corn Dog Casserole Recipe

Super easy and kid friendly recipe here! Perfect for upcoming summer months, or anytime really!

With just a box of Jiffy Corn Bread mix, and a few hot dogs this casserole can be thrown together really quickly. Next time I make this for my kiddos I am topping it with some chili!

All you need to do is mix the corn muffin mix according to the box, then add 1/3 cup of sour cream, a can of drained corn and mix. Pour into a greased 8×8 pan and add chopped hot dogs. Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes.

Top with shredded cheese, last 5 minutes if desired. Also top with prepared chili if you would like. I think that it would be great served that way!

Menu Planning Monday Week of 05/19/14

I know that it helps me when I have a menu planned out for suppers for the week, so I am going to try to bring you my plan each Monday, so you can get ideas and a reminder to make your plan too!

 

These are the meals we will be having this week, but not in order of when we will have them, because it never seems I cook the meal on the day I post here! We also usually have a “Leftover Free for All” night and order in take out or go out to eat once a week.

Right now my boys are in baseball and week nights are super busy with practices and games almost every night, so I need quick, easy, and planned meals right now :)

Seen this photo on own one of my facebook groups, and I *had* to make it. like NOW but of course I was missing one small ingredient, baking powder…BOOO! So today I had to grab some so I could make it!

**Note: if you have self rising flour you can use that and omit the baking powder and salt*
Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, cut into pieces
  • 4 oz. cream cheese cut into pieces
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  2. Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 9x13-inch glass baking dish
  3. Mix milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a small bowl; pour over the butter in the baking dish.
  4. Arrange strawberries in a layer into the baking dish.
  5. Dot with the cream cheese pieces.
  6. Bake in preheated oven until top is golden brown and edges are bubbling, 30 to 45 minutes.

Pizza Pull Apart Bread Recipe

Seen this recipe on Pinterest, and of course like all recipes on there I had to make it, it looked so good! So it was our Sunday lunch! Was good, but to be honest we are a cheese loving family, so I would have maybe layered a few slices of mozzarella in the middle to make it really cheesy!  Or don’t do what I did, and mix it all together and bake it. I would layer the dough, cheese/pepperoni, then dough and that may help our cheese addiction 😉

Overall we really liked it and I will make it again, but will follow my recipe below instead of this one.

Pizza Pull Apart Bread Recipe

Made in a 9x13 glass dish but can be made in a bundt pan as well
Ingredients
  • 2 Cans of Pizza Dough or Biscuits
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of parsley flakes
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • 1 –5 oz package of pepperoni
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon of fresh garlic or garlic powder
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cut pizza dough or biscuits into quarters
  3. Mix the dough in a bowl and toss so that the oil is spread evenly on each piece of dough
  4. Cut the pepperoni into smaller pieces, combine the parsely, garlic, and cheese with pepperoni
  5. Place half the dough mixture on the bottom of the pan
  6. Layer with cheese/pepperoni mixture
  7. Top with remaining dough
  8. Bake for about 30 minutes (or until the top is brown and the center is thoroughly cooked)
  9. Serve with a side sauce and enjoy!

Slow Cooker Roast Recipe Just 4 Ingredients!

So this recipe is called Mississippi Roast recipe, but I didn’t add the peppers to the crock pot so I am unsure if I can call it that 😉 But this is seriously the easiest recipe ever, especially for my meat loving family!

You throw a chuck roast into a crock pot, add a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch, a packet of Au Jus Gravy mix, and a stick of butter on top. Let it cook on low for 10 hours. That’s it! Easy and so good! Seriously, I normally am not a pot roast fan, but this was GOOD!

I just threw into the slow cooker some cut up potatoes, baby carrots, onions, and some whole mushrooms. Anything you normally would like with your pot roast! My husband and son said the mushrooms looked odd but tasted amazing!!

  • 3 lb. chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing {dry mix}
  • 1 packet Au Jus gravy mix {dry mix}
  • 1 stick butter {I used unsalted}
Instructions
  1. Place roast into slow cooker
  2. pour both dry packets onto of the roast
  3. place stick of butter on top of everything
  4. let it cook for 10 hours on low

Hoagie Dip Recipe! Perfect for Parties!

This recipe is perfect for upcoming New Years Eve and Super Bowl Parties! I recently had it for the first time at a Christmas party and have since made it twice to take to other parties! Its so good and is a nice change of pace from the usual party dips!

All you need is 1/4 lb each of your favorite hoagie cheese and lunch meat. I use provolone, turkey, ham, and hard salami. Dice them pretty small so it makes dipping easier! Chop up your hoagie toppings of choice: onions, tomatoes, black olives, peppers, etc. Add them with your lunch meat mixture. Add in about 1 cup of mayo. {You may need to add a bit more depending on how much other items you added into your dip} Season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Add in 2 T. of balsamic dressing for a nice tang! {Or leave out if you prefer :) }

Slice up some crusty bread. Once ready to serve add in 2 cups shredded lettuce.  Serve with bread and crackers!

Ingredients
  • ¼ lb. provolone cheese
  • ¼ lb. hard salami
  • ¼ lb. ham lunch meat
  • ¼ lb. turkey
  • 1 cup Mayo
  • dash of salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 T. balsamic dressing
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 large tomato
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • optional:
  • sliced black olives
  • hot peppers
  • sweet peppers
Instructions
  1. Dice the cheese and lunch meats into small pieces.
  2. Dice the onions and tomatoes and add with the lunch meat and cheese
  3. Add in the mayo, seasonings, and dressing.
  4. Mix together well.
  5. Right before serving add in the lettuce
  6. Serve with slices of crusty bread or crackers

Zuppa Toscana Recipe

There are many varieties of this soup out there, here is my take on it! Yummy Zuppa Toscana soup recipe made popular by Olive Garden!

Note: Zuppa Toscana literally means Tuscan Soup in Italian so technically I am calling this recipe Tuscan Soup Soup recipe 😉

To start making this soup, start a pot of water to just boil some potato slices to cook. While they are boiling cook off your Italian sausage, adding in your onion with the sausage.

You will need to rip up your kale into bite size pieces, removing the stems.

Once the potatoes and sausage are cooked, remove them from the heat. Drain the potatoes, then add 2 cups of chicken broth and one cup water to the pot. Add back in the potatoes and drained sausage. Add in the 2 cups of cream or half and half.  Then add the kale and cook for 10-15 minutes on medium low heat.

Ingredients
  • 1lb. Italian Sausage
  • 4-5 Potatoes, sliced unpeeled
  • 4 cups Kale, ripped into bite sized pieces {you can use 2 cups if you would like}
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream or half and half
  • 1 cup water
  • Garlic to taste
  • Salt and Pepper
Instructions
  1. Wash and slice potatoes, and place them in boiling water to cook them till soft. About 10-15 minutes
  2. Brown the ground sausage, add in the diced onions
  3. Drain the potatoes and sausage mixture.
  4. Add chicken broth, water, heavy cream, seasonings to pot. Add back in the sausage and potatoes. Cook over medium low heat for 5 minutes
  5. Add in the kale and cook for another 10 minutes

Rave reviews all around! To add an extra kick to my husband and I’s bowls I just add in a little crushed red pepper to ours. My kiddos are such fans of the heat so I leave it out of the whole pot.  But if your family enjoys heat, then feel free to add a teaspoon of crushed red pepper right into the pot of soup!
