Make a Catapult!

Its day 7 of the 104 Days of Summer Fun, today’s activity is a DYI Catapult!

Make a Catapult! My kids are going to love this!

Supplies Needed:

  • Block of wood
  • Paint (optional)
  • Hot glue
  • Clothespin
  • Jumbo craft stick
  • Plastic bottle cap
  • Paper plates
  • Markers
  • Paper
  1.  To make a launcher, start with a scrap block of wood. Hot-glue a clothespin to the block, and a jumbo craft stick to the clothespin Then glue a plastic bottle cap near the end of the craft stick, leaving a short lip for a release lever.
  2. Create targets of varying point values using paper plates and markers, and crumple small pieces of paper into balls to hurl. Now aim for the highest score. You could even use this catapult to play “angry birds” with wooden blocks and pom poms as the birds!
