Knox Gelatine: What to do with it All???

A little bit ago, an amazing coupon was out for ANY Knox product. If you were like me you scored a good deal on Knox Gelatin and have more than you know what to do with! I have donated some, handed some to everyone that walks into my house, and still have more than I know what to do with! I found a fun hair gel recipe that used unflavored gelatin, and think its great, because I am making it, so won’t feel bad using it in my children’s hair! Their recipe uses glitter, which you could add, but I will be leaving it out! Plus you can find a ton more recipes HERE!

You Need:

  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • Medium Size Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • {optional} 4 tablespoons glitter
  • whisk

To Make: Boil the water and pour it into the bowl, and the gelatin and stir until it’s dissolved. Let the mixture cool to room tempature. {If you are using the glitter, whisk it into the mixture then refrigerate it for about 2 hours, before the mixture gels completely whisk again to fully incorporate the glitter}

The gel will keep, covered and refrigerated for up to a week, Whisk before each use.

  1. Back in High School I went through a punk period where I had my hair short enough to have a mohawk, and I used knox to keep it up in place. So funny, because looking back on how much I spent on the stuff, I could’ve saved sooo much if I would’ve had that coupon! haha

  2. So this only lasts a week?
