I am NOT perfect

A few things have been heavy on my heart lately, and I don’t normally post anything “non” deal related, other than my mama cooks post, so I know this is a little different, but I had to get these thoughts out there. Hope you don’t mind :)

I am NOT Perfect

I struggle everyday to find a good balance of spending time with God, my family, on myself, and “working” {which for me is blogging, tending little ones, and working 2 hours a week as a nurse}

I have a house that is not perfect. It is never perfectly clean all the time. It seems I get one area organized and another needs my attention. Its a vicious cycle I can’t seem to break.

I can never get to the gym as much as I should, eat less than I should, and drink more water, like I should

My site never has EVERY *HOT* deal that comes along, grocery store match up, or freebie you can get.  I seriously thank you all for sticking around! ♥

I would love….

to get lost in the Word everyday, finding the perfect scripture that I needed to hear

happy husband and kids

to have an organized & clean home

size 8 jeans

updated site for EVER *HOT* deal

The reality is I need to work harder on these things! And you may see things tweaked around here to help me get them. I would love for Good Deal Mama to be a place of encouragement, inspiration, and of course a place to grab a good deal 😉

Relevant Oct. 27-29

I am heading to Relevant in Harrisburg PA next week, and some bloggers have been putting out there a “10 things you should know about me” post. This is my version of that.

You should know that I am not perfect, not even close. But working everyday to be a better person, wife, mother, and daughter.

I am scared to go, scared to post this, scared to be judged BUT feel like it is EXACTLY what I should be doing!

So over the next few weeks, I hope you stick around to see what this site and myself can grow into.

We all can relate to your posting- as the mother of 6- and now 12 with all th in-loves- and grannie to soon to be 11- boy, can I relate!! You can & never will be all that you want to be this side of Heaven. :) God made us to be dependant on Him for all things. We often 4 get this in our “do it myself” world. We will be what we need to be to each if we just let go & let God. Much easier said than done I readilly admit. Hang in there:)- God has a purpose for everything & minute of our lives- just let Him. He loves those S.O.S. prayers :)

  2. None of us are perfect. I am having the same issues. I have two, 11 months apart.. 2 1/2 and 1 1/2.. and I’m a stay at home mom and full time student. My house is NEVER clean, the laundry is always behind, there are always dishes and toys scattered all over the place.. and I find it hard to find a balance

    • Thanks for sharing Jessica! I am hoping I can start posting some tips that can help us both keep our houses in better shape!

  3. Susan Emrich says:

Who cares about a clean house? I think a clean house is highly overrated and I have more important things to do. I bet you do too. :) Love your site.

I can totally relate (except for the being married part). I feel like I never have enough time to get everything done or work on getting back into the RCIA program..but always seem to make time to look at all the news deals/giveaways. I wish you good luck on your venture and I can’t wait to see what you have in store!!!

  5. You are doing the most important things-reaching out to people and helping many more than you will ever know. We all look at our house, children, self and want to be better. And a time comes along when we realize that when it comes right down to it- and you ask yourself the BIG question and really think about it…who would I rather be?…well it turns out no one, because you are your own special self and loved by many and others are looking at you and wondering how does she do all those things so well? God made you to be just where you are right now and no one is perfect, we are all just working on it!

  6. WOW – my heart goes out to you…we can never do it all and as a Godly woman, there is always the enemy, who whispers failures & shortcomings at you, in every form imaginable. My children are grown. One of my sons was killed. Continue..As you already do… tell your children and husband that you love them everyday, kiss them and know that God knows you. He loves you for today and eternity.

  7. Girl…YOU are amazing, just as you are.

    You are loved.

    See you soon :)

  8. I had the blessing of going to relevant 10. It was the most refreshing conference ever. It made me realize that no one is perfect and EVERYone struggles to find their balance:)
