{Giveaway! 3 Winners} The King’s Christmas List Book!

Day 1 of Good Deal Mama’s Gift Guide and Giveaway is The King’s Christmas List Book for 3 Readers!

Eldon Johnson is a Dad and an author who was fed up with the “gimme gimme” attitude of Christmas he saw around him. He seeks to create ways for families to take back Christmas and learn to give to others together at this important time of year, like Christ did for us. The King’s Christmas List tells the story of a little girl who learns how to give at Christmas time and http://thekingsadventure.com/ offers a tangible experience for families to go online and choose to give together. Charities like BloodWater and WorldVision have partnered with Eldon to help begin a new Christmas tradition.

Tommy Nelson Group was nice enough to send me the book The King’s Christmas List to read to my little ones and offered to send 3 Good Deal Mama readers a copy of your own!

My oldest son is 5 and last year the gimmes really started, so this book was perfect to talk about how giving to others is really rewarding. The book talks about how Emma wants to take a gift to the King, but ends up giving away his gift along the way to see him. Turns out that is just what he wanted- for others to give to one another! It was really nice to read together as a family, even my husband liked this book! See more about the book HERE and see inside!

  16. I think that to teach a child to give and not want everything, they must first learn to be content with what they have. This is hard to do in such a materialistic society, but it is an important lesson. One way to teach a child content is to show them over and over that things dont buy them happiness.
